.the morning can't hold me.
The passing of the light bringing us all into the night.
In awaken dreams I still grasp at something that
I've always wanted but it wasn't meant to be for me.
My eyes still groggy, as if I cannot seem to awake from
This endless stillness that calms me into thought about
How I just wish to hold the light, warm and amber,
Before it retires, before the night takes her shift for this day.
The darkness knows my name, I've never feared her or what
May be lurking within her. Unknown and unseen, almost
Like something isn't there at all. Most often it's what we
Don't see that really saves us from our own minds.
